Job summary

MultiCare Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, WA seeks an Emergency Services Technician to support patient care and cover administrative and clinical procedures. The role collaborates with a team of practitioners to ensure optimal health care outcomes and patient experiences.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, Washington CNA/NA-R/EMT certifications, BLS, and prior emergency department or acute care exposure is preferred. Part-time hours with varied shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current Washington state certification/licensure as a CNA or NA-R, MA-P, MA-C or successful completion of EMT Training Course.
• MA-P or EMT will be required to obtain NA-R within 180 days of hire.
• CNA, NA-R, or EMT will be required to obtain MA-P within a specified date.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing direct patient care as directed by health care practitioner.
• Engage critical thinking skills to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with the team to improve quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction.
• Foster a learning environment for patients/families, nursing staff, and other health care team members.
• Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting autonomy and dignity of patients from diverse backgrounds.
