Job summary

Hudson Regional Hospital is seeking an Emergency Room Technician to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in Hoboken, NJ. You will assist with equipment cleaning, stocking supplies, transporting patients, and monitoring central station monitors, with rhythm interpretation and timely notification of rhythm changes to the RN.

Qualifications

• EMT Certification or CNA required.
• BLS-AHA required.
• High school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, basic patient care under the guidance and direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Care and cleaning of specific equipment, stocking of supplies and equipment, and transportation of patients, supplies and equipment; monitor central station monitors and interpret cardiac rhythms, document rhythm strips, and notify RN of rhythm changes.
• Perform all blood specimen collection for Emergency Room patients by venipuncture, finger stick or heel stick according to policy.
