Job summary

Premier Health is seeking an Emergency Room Technician/Health Unit Coordinator for the Emergency Department in Ohio. The role supports patient care under RN/LPN guidance and coordinates unit clerical tasks to ensure efficient operations and quality care.

Minimum education includes a high school diploma or GED with CPR certification; credentials such as Nurse’s aide training, nursing school enrollment, or EMT Basic are advantageous.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required at time of hire.

• Experience in Premier acute care setting or related patient-care role a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care activities under RN/LPN supervision.

Position: Emergency Room Technician/Health Unit CoordDepartment: Emergency DepartmentShift: Full-time days, 11am-11pm 72 hours per pay periodFacility: Upper Valley Medical CenterAs an ER Technician, the ER TECH/HUC works under the direction of RN/LPN as part of the health care team to assist with patient care activities. The tasks delegated are those that are in accordance with the Ohio Board of Nursing set by Premier Health.As a HUC, the ER TECH/HUC coordinates the day to day clerical activities of the nursing unit. The HUC directly/indirectly impacts the patient outcomes and care provided to patients/families/significant others.EducationMinimum Level of Education Required: High School completion / GEDLicensure/Certification/Registration *Current CPR certification required at the time of hireSuccessful completion of one of the following:1. Nurse’s aide training course within the last twelve months.2. Patient care experience within the last six months.3. Currently enrolled in nursing school with the completion of core nursing classes.4.
