Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking an Emergency Room Technician to support the ER team in Crestview, FL.

You will provide direct patient care under licensed staff, assist with transport, maintain a clean, stocked environment and help with documentation in the EMR. The role requires completing a technical school program in Nursing Assistant, EMT, Phlebotomy, or Medical Assistant, and current CNA/EMT/Phlebotomy/MA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of safety guidelines, sterile techniques and infection prevention procedures.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and EMR documentation.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
• Commitment to HIPAA and EMTALA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the ER under supervision.
• Assist with patient transport to/from units and procedures.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and restock supplies.
• Document care activities in the EMR accurately.
• Respond quickly to emergencies and assist the care team as needed.
• Adhere to PPE usage and safety protocols.
