Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health seeks an Emergency Room Tech to support safe, cost-efficient patient care in the Emergency Department. You will perform delegated tasks from the RN or Physician, conduct diagnostics and procedures, assist with patient transport, and provide clerical and cleaning support to the unit.

You will help implement the care plan, observe patients, respond to emergencies, and maintain equipment and supplies while following safety standards.

Qualifications

• GED General Studies and completion of an EMT/MA/CNA/LPN program or nursing school.
• WA-specific CNA/LPN/MA certifications listed.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• MA Phlebotomist credential within 6 months (WA).

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing plan of care by performing common clinical procedures and tasks within scope of practice.
• Assist in making observations, gathering data and identifying patient care needs.
• Respond to emergency situations.
• Assist with patient transport and transfer.
• Assist with cleaning, stocking and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
• Adhere to safety and risk management standards.
