Job summary

Salem Health's Emergency Department at Salem Hospital is seeking an Emergency Room Technician to join a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. You’ll support patient care across all ages, perform phlebotomy and EKGs, monitor vital signs, and assist during Code Blue, trauma activations and CPR alongside RNs and physicians.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience in acute care, ambulatory care, or EMS setting.
• CNA or EMT-B/EMT-P certification preferred.
• Ability to work in high-acuity environments and collaborate with care teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist with vital signs, EKGs, toileting, ambulation and activities of daily living across age groups.
• Perform phlebotomy and point-of-care testing including blood draws and glucose monitoring.
• Assist during high-acuity events such as Code Blue, trauma activations and CPR.
• Provide 1:1 safety observations and assist with mobility aids.
• Collaborate with RNs and providers to observe, report and document patient condition.
