Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center in Bradenton, FL is seeking an Emergency Room Tech to assist with supportive nursing care under the direction of the RN. This part-time night shift role offers opportunities for growth within UHS and its 300+ locations.

Responsibilities include clerical tasks, stocking, transporting, performing EKGs, phlebotomy, and other duties as assigned. Prior healthcare exposure is preferred; BLS certification required on hire.

Qualifications

• High School Education or GED equivalent required.
• BLS certification required on hire.
• CPI within 6 months is preferred.
• EMT or CNA license required (Florida/National).

Job Overview:

The Emergency Room Tech assumes responsibility for assisting with the implementation of supportive nursing care under the direction of the RN.

General Responsibilities:

• Duties as assigned to include but not limited to: clerical, courier duties, stocking, transporting, performing EKG’s.
• Phlebotomy and specific patient care duties
• Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times
• Other duties as assigned including departmental and/or facility based

Qualifications

• High School Education or GED equivalent.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS upon hire
• CPI within 6 months.
• Florida EMT License, National EMT License, or CNA License.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required.
• Previous experience preferred.
