Lakewood Ranch Medical Center seeks an Emergency Room Tech for night shifts on a part-time basis. You will assist RNs with patient care, perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and support clerical tasks to maintain smooth ER operations.

Requirements include a high school credential, BLS, CPI within 6 months, and a Florida EMT/National EMT or CNA license. Prior healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School education or GED equivalent.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS on hire.
• CPI within 6 months.
• Excellent communication and basic computer skills.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.

Job Overview:

The Emergency Room Tech assumes responsibility for assisting with the implementation of supportive nursing care under the direction of the RN.

General Responsibilities:

• Duties as assigned to include but not limited to: clerical, courier duties, stocking, transporting, performing EKG’s.
• Phlebotomy and specific patient care duties
• Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times
• Other duties as assigned including departmental and/or facility based

Qualifications

• High School Education or GED equivalent.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS upon hire
• CPI within 6 months.
• Florida EMT License, National EMT License, or CNA License.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required.
• Previous experience preferred.
