Henry Ford Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department System Float. This contingent role supports multiple units across the health system with flexible scheduling and premium pay. You’ll gain diverse clinical experience while ensuring high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, assessments, and collaboration with the care team. Previous float experience and Michigan RN licensure are required, with various certifications kept current.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum two years of related clinical nursing experience.
• Willingness to float to multiple locations within the health system.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and ENPC certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across units, developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized nursing care plans.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and identify potential complications or changes in patient condition.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
• Demonstrate flexibility and orientation to different units and care protocols within the float pool.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to support quality improvement and safe patient care standards.
• Work assigned day and night shifts as scheduled.
