Job summary

San Benito Health Care District is seeking a dedicated Emergency Department RN to provide direct and indirect patient care in a fast-paced ED. You will assess needs, develop and implement care plans, and collaborate with physicians and the team to deliver safe, high-quality emergency care.

Responsibilities include monitoring patients, administering treatments, assisting with procedures, and educating patients and families. Two work shifts available with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Current California RN license required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum one year of recent acute care experience preferred.
• Minimum one year of Emergency Department experience preferred.
• Competencies and orientation as required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and provide nursing care to patients across all age groups and levels of acuity.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and monitor patient response.
• Perform cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Assist physicians with emergency procedures and care during critical situations.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment, medications, and pain management.
• Coordinate care with physicians and the healthcare team.
• Maintain documentation and participate in performance improvement.
