Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Irvine, CA, seeks a full-time ER Service Head to lead ER clinicians, specialists, and the leadership team. The role offers a salary range of $180,000 to $250,000 annually plus potential production, a $15,000 annual stipend, and eligibility for sign-on and relocation assistance.

Ideal candidate: DVM, completed internship, and at least three years ER experience with leadership preferred.

Qualifications

• DVM from an accredited university and internship completed.
• At least three years of ER experience.
• Previous leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the schedule for all ER Clinicians and PTO as relevant by hospital.
• Facilitate regular ER Clinician meetings and participate in hospital leadership meetings.
• Mentor ER Clinicians and new ER/ICU staff; oversee ER clinician case management and provide guidance.
• Integrate emergency and specialty services to manage hospitalized cases; act as liaison with Medical Director.
• Assist in patient safety reporting within the emergency department.
• Assist in recruiting new Emergency Clinicians and ensure mentorship for new hires.
• Partner with hospital leadership to identify opportunities and implement ER improvements.
• Oversee capital purchases for ICU/ER department and collaborate with management.
