Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Kirkland, WA is seeking a full-time ER Service Head to work alongside ER clinicians, specialists, and our leadership team. The role offers a base annual salary of $180,000 to $250,000 plus an annual stipend of up to $15,000 and potential sign-on and relocation assistance.

The ideal candidate will have a DVM, internship completion, and at least three years of ER experience, with leadership experience preferred.

Qualifications

• DVM from an accredited university and completion of an internship.
• At least three years of ER experience.
• Previous leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the schedule for all ER Clinicians, including PTO requests.
• Facilitate regular ER Clinician meetings and participate in hospital leadership meetings.
• Mentor ER Clinicians and new ER/ICU staff; oversee case management and provide guidance.
• Integrate emergency and specialty services to manage hospitalized cases; liaise with Medical Director.
• Assist in patient safety reporting as it pertains to the emergency department.
• Recruit new Emergency Clinicians with mentor assignment to support retention.
• Address client service issues and support management in resolution.
• Partner with hospital leadership to identify opportunities and implement initiatives for ER care improvement.
• Stay informed about hospital environment and coordinate with leadership on ER/ICU issues.
• Oversee capital purchases for ICU/ER department.
