Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Lewisville, TX is seeking a full-time ER Service Head who will work alongside our ER clinicians, specialists, and leadership team.

The ideal candidate will have a DVM from an accredited university, completed an internship, and at least three years of ER experience. Previous leadership experience preferred. You will manage schedules, mentor staff, and help drive patient care and hospital initiatives.

Qualifications

• The candidate must have a DVM from an accredited university.
• Mandatory internship completed and at least three years of ER experience.
• Leadership experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the schedule for all ER Clinicians, including PTO requests, depending on location.
• Facilitate regular ER Clinician meetings and participate in hospital leadership meetings.
• Mentor ER Clinicians and new ER/ICU staff, overseeing case management guidance.
• Integrate emergency and specialty services to manage hospitalized cases with Medical Director.
• Assist in patient safety reporting within the ER department.
• Contribute to recruiting ER Clinicians and ensure mentorship for new hires.
• Address client and DVM concerns with management and follow up as needed.
• Oversee capital purchases for ICU/ER department and collaborate with leadership.
