Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Olympia, WA is seeking a full-time ER Service Head with a DVM and internship, and at least three years of ER experience. Leadership experience is preferred as you will mentor ER clinicians and coordinate with hospital leadership.

Qualifications

• DVM from accredited university and internship completed.
• At least three years of ER experience.
• Leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage schedule for all ER Clinicians, including PTO requests.
• Facilitate ER Clinician meetings and participate in hospital leadership meetings.
• Mentor ER Clinicians and new ER/ICU staff; oversee case management.
• Act as liaison between ER and Specialty Clinicians; discuss concerns with Medical Director.
• Support patient safety reporting in the ED and participate in initiatives.
• Lead recruiting of Emergency Clinicians with mentor assignment.
• Assist in resolving customer service issues and engage management.
• Partner with hospital leadership to identify and implement ER care improvements.
• Keep abreast of hospital issues; assist with performance reviews.
• Oversee capital purchases for ICU/ER together with management.
