Job summary

The Staff Pad is partnering with a Russellville, AL hospital to hire a compassionate Emergency Department RN for PRN night shifts. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.

We are seeking candidates with an Alabama RN license, BLS, and ER experience; ACLS/PALS within a year are required, TNCC preferred. This role offers growth in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Alabama RN license or Multi-State compact license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS to be obtained within one year of hire.
• TNCC preferred.
• ER experience preferred; new grads welcome.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial patient assessments, obtain histories, and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and IV therapy per hospital policy.
• Respond rapidly to medical emergencies and provide critical interventions.
• Coordinate nursing care and make patient assignments based on acuity and staff competencies.
• Document patient status, interventions, and responses accurately and thoroughly.
• Support patients and families with psychosocial and emotional needs.
• Follow infection control, patient safety, and quality care standards.
• Provide compassionate care to patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics.
