Job summary

Baptist Health in Alabama is seeking an Emergency Department RN on a full-time basis to supervise nursing staff on shift and during weekends/holidays, ensuring quality and continuity of patient care. The RN will use the nursing process for assessments, planning, and interventions, and will collaborate with physicians and other clinicians in care planning.

Active RN licensure is required with BLS, and additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, etc.) may be required depending on the unit.

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure required; BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP/TNCC may be required depending on area.
• Degree in Nursing required; BSN degree preferred.
• Ability to observe, assess, and record work, safety and infection control standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing personnel on shift, including weekends and holidays.
• Utilize the nursing process in patient assessments, planning of care, and performance of interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians and other clinicians in planning and implementing patient care.
• May have additional duties within scope of the role.
