Job summary

Royse City ER & Hospital is seeking an ED Registered Nurse (PRN, Float) to provide immediate and comprehensive care to patients experiencing emergencies. Shifts include Day-shift (7:00 - 19:00) and Mid-shift (10:00 - 22:00).

The role requires two years of ER experience, an active RN license, and current BCLS/CPR with ACLS/PALS or ENPC and TNCC preferred. Candidates must be fluent in English and capable of coordinating care with a diverse team.

Qualifications

• Two years of emergency room experience.
• Current Licensure with the State Board of Nurse Examiners for their state.
• Current BCLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC preferred.
• Must read, write and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and determine severity of condition.
• Perform triage and assign urgency categories.
• Provide emergency care for all ages.
• Administer medications following the five rights.
• Supervise ERTs and other staff.
• Communicate with patients and families about procedures and plans.
• Collaborate with physicians to develop patient care plans.
• Maintain infection control and patient safety.
• Participate in ongoing education and quality improvement.
