Job summary

Royse City ER & Hospital is seeking a dedicated ED Registered Nurse (FT), focused on delivering prompt and comprehensive care for acute medical conditions and emergencies. The mid-shift runs from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with responsibilities spanning patient assessment, triage, emergency care, medication administration, and coordination with physicians.

Ideal candidates have two years of ER experience, hold an active RN license, and are proficient in English.

Qualifications

• Two years of emergency room experience.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Licensure with the State Board of Nurse Examiners for their state.
• Current BCLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC preferred.
• Educational requirements appropriate for meeting the age-specific needs of patients presenting to the emergency center.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment: conduct head-to-toe assessments and psychosocial evaluations to determine the severity of the condition.
• Triage: assign triage categories to ensure timely care based on urgency.
• Emergency Care: provide care to patients of all ages following protocols and guidelines.
• Medication Administration: administer medications with the five rights.
• Supervision: oversee ERTs and healthcare personnel for efficient workflow.
• Patient Advocacy: communicate with patients and families to explain procedures and plans.
• Collaboration: work with physicians and staff to develop and implement care plans.
• Infection Control: maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Continuous Education: participate in training and quality improvement initiatives.
