Job summary

Down East Community Hospital in Maine is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse responsible for delivering high-quality patient-family centered care as per hospital and state standards. The ideal candidate will have a current Maine RN license, be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, and possess BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Maine or Authorization to Practice pending licensure by endorsement.
• 2 years minimum experience preferred.
• Ability to function independently and act rapidly in emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the age appropriate care of patients.
• Coordinate all aspects of nursing care to achieve desired patient outcomes.
• Document all care given and patient responses.
