Down East Community Hospital in Maine is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse responsible for delivering high-quality patient-family centered care as per hospital and state standards. Candidates must demonstrate effective communication with the healthcare team and maintain confidentiality while supporting the organization’s mission and values.

The ideal candidate will have a current Maine RN license, be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, and possess BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Maine or Authorization to Practice pending licensure by endorsement.
• 2 years minimum experience preferred.
• Ability to function independently and act rapidly in emergency situations.

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the age appropriate care of patients.
• Coordinate all aspects of nursing care to achieve desired patient outcomes.
• Document all care given and patient responses.
