Job summary

LewisGale Hospital Alleghany is seeking an RN PRN for the Emergency Room to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The RN collaborates with physicians and care teams, documents care, and responds promptly to patient needs while educating patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up measures. PRN status implies flexible hours to support patient care needs.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment start date.
• BLS certification within 90 days of employment start date.
• PALS/Advanced Life Support certification within 90 days of employment start date.
• RN Licensed Nurse requirement.
• Associate Degree required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in the ER.
• Documents care and med administration in the patient record.
• Responds promptly to patient requests and anticipates needs.
• Educates patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up.
• Supports self-management and lifestyle guidance for patients and caregivers.
