Job summary

LewisGale Hospital Alleghany is hiring an RN Emergency Room to deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. The RN coordinates care with physicians and care teams, assesses pain, and documents actions in the patient record while adapting to patient needs and hospital standards.

You will educate patients and families, manage treatment plans, and respond promptly to requests, contributing to optimal outcomes and a positive patient experience within the LewisGale Regional Health

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of employment start date.
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support required within 90 days of employment start date.
• (RN) Registered Nurse required.
• Associate Degree required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care per department standards.
• Assesses patient pain and promotes effective pain management with reassessments.
• Performs procedures and documents care in the medical record in a timely manner.
• Responds promptly to patient needs and supports family/caregiver education.
• Educates patients and families about condition, plan, medications, and follow-up.
