Job summary

Parrish Medical Center in Titusville, FL, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The RN provides comprehensive nursing care, conducts assessments, plans with the care team, and engages families in care using a person- and family-centered approach.

Shift options include days, mids, and nights with 36 hours per week. Requires Florida RN license and ADN; BSN preferred. Sign-on bonus offered; 1 year ED/acute care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an RN education program; ADN required, BSN preferred.
• Florida RN license or eligibility.
• 1 year of experience in Emergency Department or acute care preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP through AHA required (ED: BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, ACLS and PALS).

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments.
• Administer medications, infusion therapies with barcode safety.
• Lead care team and coordinate daily care with patients and families.
• Supervise LPNs, CNAs, and other staff as assigned.
• Document accurately and communicate actions to maintain continuity of care.
• Participate in Quality Monitoring/Performance Improvement initiatives.
