Job summary

Centerpoint Health - Georgetown is seeking an Emergency Services RN to join our team on a PRN night schedule (7p–7a) requiring four shifts in six weeks. You will provide direct patient care in a busy ED, administer medications, and collaborate with the care team.

Candidates must hold a Kentucky (or compact) RN license and an Associate Degree in Nursing; a BSN is preferred. Professional certifications (BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS) within 90 days are expected, along with ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Current Kentucky or compact RN license
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required
• BSN preferred
• Certifications: BCLS; ACLS; PALS; NIHSS within 90 days of hire
• National Certification within 1 year
• Ability to think critically and work with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care including medications, specimens, and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors and communicates patient condition to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Collaborates across disciplines for transfers, discharge, referrals and psychosocial support needs.
• Educates patient and/or family appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
