Job summary

Shasta Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide safe patient care in the Medical/Surgical Unit on the night shift. You will use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care while guiding patient/family teaching and collaborating with physicians.

Required: valid state RN license, BLS, ACLS within 30 days, acute care experience preferred. Ventilator management experience is a plus; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS (AHA) certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Direct patient care within the scope of practice and guide patient/family teaching.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians and coordinate care.

Education

RN license

ACLS (AHA) certificate
