Job summary

Lifepoint Health seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department at Haywood Regional Medical Center. This full-time position follows a mid-shift schedule (3x12s, 3p-3a) with holidays and weekends required.

A $20,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates with a 2-year commitment for night shift. Responsibilities include patient assessments, nursing interventions, and interdisciplinary care planning, with emphasis on accuracy in documentation and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina or compact state RN license.
• Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required within six months of hire.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
• Initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provide care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Document timely and accurately in the medical record.
• Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Perform timely and accurate QI assessments.
