Job summary

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital in Virginia Beach, VA, seeks an experienced RN for the Emergency Department. The 41-bed Level III Trauma ED handles ~150 patients daily and supports Med/Surg/IMC, STEMI, and psychiatric cases.

You’ll join the ED team in the Resource Pool with potential differential compensation. ADN is required with BSN preferred; Virginia or compact RN license, BLS, and at least 18 months of Med/Surg/IMC experience are expected.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN or higher preferred.
• Virginia or compact multistate RN license in good standing.
• BLS required; hospital setting experience.
• Min 18 months RN experience on Medical/Surgical or Intermediate Care Unit.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients admitted to Med/Surg level awaiting room in ED.
• Collaborate with ED team to manage patient flow and care.
• Part of the ED Resource Pool and eligible for Resource Pool differential.
