Job summary

Intermountain Health St George Regional Hospital in Utah seeks a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. The ED is a 39-bed Level 2 trauma center; typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:3, with 1:1 for critical patients.

The role includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, and supports strong teamwork. Requirements include current RN license in state, BLS, and preferably ED/high-acuity experience; BSN preferred (and as of 4/27/2025 policy may require BSN).

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Experience in Emergency Department and/or high acuity setting preferred.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain BSN within four years of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients using the nursing process and coordinate information with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Plan and implement individualized care plans with patient and family involvement.
• Direct and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team while prioritizing resources.
• Evaluate patient responses to interventions and revise the plan as needed.
• Maintain professionalism, documentation, and compliance with regulatory standards.
