Job summary

Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on a full-time night shift (7:00pm–7:30am, 3-12 hour shifts). You will deliver safe patient care using the nursing process within Telemetry, collaborating with physicians and staff to monitor and respond to changes in patient conditions.

Qualified applicants must hold an active RN license, BLS/ALS/PALS/ENPC certifications (or equivalents), and a BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintained.
• ALS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• PALS certificate and/or ENPC within 60 days of hire and maintained.
• CEN certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within the ED/Telemetry scope.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality; adhere to EMTALA requirements.
