Job summary

Cephas Consultancy Services Private Limited in Chicago, IL is seeking RN for Emergency Department at nights to provide first-line care to patients in a high-acuity setting. The role requires 12-hour shifts (7AM-7:30PM, 11AM-11PM, or 7PM-7:30AM) and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective care plans.

Qualified candidates hold an Associate degree in nursing (BSN preferred), an Illinois RN license, and BLS/ACLS certification, with 1–3 years ER experience.

Qualifications

• Uses the nursing process, critical thinking, and professional judgment to care for an assigned patient population.
• Assesses patient needs to determine care requirements.
• Plans care and delegates tasks based on patient assessment.
• Evaluates patient response to care and adjusts the plan as needed.
• Promotes patient/family independence through education about condition, treatment, and self-care.

Responsibilities

• Performs 12-hour shifts: 7AM-7:30PM, 11AM-11PM, or 7PM-7:30AM.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to implement and monitor care plans.
• Ensures discharge planning is coordinated with patient/family and team.
• Maintains high quality of care by adhering to regulatory standards and best practices.
• Participates in rounds and contributes to ongoing quality improvement.
