Job summary

Medical City McKinney, an acute care hospital, seeks a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room mid shift. In collaboration with physicians and the care team, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced trauma and stroke-focused environment.

You will assess pain, document care, perform procedures, educate patients and families, and respond promptly to requests. This role supports sepsis detection and Enhanced Surgical Recovery initiatives as part of a learning health

Qualifications

• RN coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with department requirements.
• Advocates for patients/families/caregivers and supports outcomes through standard nursing models.
• Delivers pain management, documentation, teaching, and follow-up care to patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain and promote effective pain management.
• Perform procedures, monitor patients, and document care in medical records.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Teach patients/families about conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures.
• Educate on non-medicinal follow-ups like diet and exercise.
