Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Emergency Department, a Level I Trauma Center. This full-time role offers 36 hours per week with evening shifts from 3:00 p.m.

to 3:00 a.m., and requires every-other-weekend and holiday rotation. Eligible candidates may receive a sign-on bonus up to $25,000 plus relocation assistance and a comprehensive benefits package.

Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department | Level I Trauma Center

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring full-time Registered Nurses for our Emergency Department, home to Hampton Roads’ only Level I Trauma Center. Position Status: Full-time, 36 hours per week

Shift: Evening shift

Weekends: Every other weekend availability required

Education Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Registered Nursing required

• BSN or MSN preferred

• Students completing an accredited nursing program may be considered

Certification/Licensure Requirements

• Registered Nurse license required

• Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nurse license may be considered

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire

• NIHSS, TCRN, SCRN, TNCC, CEN, PALS, and ACLS preferred

Experience Requirements

• Prior RN experience preferred

• Emergency Department experience preferred

• Strong candidates with related acute care, critical care, intermediate care, trauma, cardiac, stroke, or med/surg experience are encouraged to apply

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $41.93 - $61.01 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
