Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring full-time Registered Nurses for the Emergency Department, home to Hampton Roads’ only Level I Trauma Center. This role offers a dynamic, high-performing team where clinical skill and teamwork create immediate patient impact.

Qualified candidates may receive up to a $15,000 sign-on bonus with relocation assistance. The ED operates 53 beds, with exposure to trauma, cardiac, stroke, and critical care cases, under a Magnet-designated system.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.
• NIHSS, TCRN, SCRN, TNCC, CEN, PALS, and ACLS preferred.
• BSN or MSN preferred.
• Prior RN experience and Emergency Department experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to deliver timely care.
• Engage in trauma, cardiac, stroke, and critical care cases within a Level I Trauma Center.
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking and safe, patient-centered nursing practices.
