Job summary

Livingston Regional Hospital, part of ScionHealth, seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department to deliver direct and indirect patient care in a high-acuity setting. The RN will assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate care while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include triage, monitoring cardiac rhythms, administering medications, and educating patients. Requires active RN license and BLS/ACLS/PALS within policy timeframes.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate degree in Nursing.
• BSN preferred; diploma programs accepted.

Responsibilities

• Perform triage and prioritization based on acuity.
• Assess and reassess ages appropriately.
• Administer medications and manage critical drips.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures in the ED.
• Monitor hemodynamics and interpret cardiac rhythms.
• Document care and education accurately.
• Apply infection control and sterile technique.
• Educate patients and families about discharge plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for optimal care.
• Respond calmly in high-stress, life-threatening situations.
