Job summary

HCA Florida West Hospital is seeking an Emergency Room RN for a fast-paced, collaborative team. You will triage and treat patients ranging from minor injuries to critically ill, coordinating with physicians and departments to ensure safe, effective care.

Applicants must have Florida RN licensure, BLS, and ER experience; ACLS and PALS within 90 days. A flat rate of $44/hour applies, with travel between three freestanding ERs and the main ER and a requirement to work at least two shifts per week.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license or approved multistate license (Compact) required.
• BLS-AHA Provider card required within 30 days of start
• 1+ years’ ER experience preferred
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 90 days of start date
• ACLS or ACLS Instructor within 90 days of start date
• PALS or PALS Instructor within 90 days of start date

Responsibilities

• Triage, assess and treat patients of all ages
• Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient and the situation
• Develop plans that prescribe strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes
• Manage multiple cases simultaneously providing general nursing care and prioritizing needs continually
• Provide follow up care instructions to patients and make necessary referrals
• Coordinate functions with physicians and other departments of the hospital, while being patient-focused and safety aware at all times
