Job summary

Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The RN assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care and coordinates with the healthcare team to ensure quality outcomes.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in nursing, current PA RN license, BLS and ACLS (as applicable). ER or acute care experience is preferred; part-time (24 hours/week) with a 12-hour day shift. Onsite parking is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing is required.
• Current RN Pennsylvania state license is required.
• Current BLS is required (or obtained by orientation).
• ACLS is required (or obtained by orientation) if applicable to area of practice.
• Previous acute care and/or ER experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides total, comprehensive care to patients by applying the nursing process in an organized and systematic manner.
• Communicates proactively to the health care team, plan of care, changes in patient condition and discharge plans.
• Documents assessment, plan, interventions and outcomes according to policy.
• Documents pain, fall risk and wound risk and plan of care.
• Interprets clinical data and uses it in the plan of care.
• Assesses patient for potential risk factors and performs thorough nursing assessments.
• Participates in discharge planning with a multi-disciplinary approach.

Education

Bachelor's degree in nursing

Current RN Pennsylvania state license

Current BLS

ACLS

Previous acute care and/or ER experience
