Job summary

Nazareth Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department. The RN will provide comprehensive patient care and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans in a fast-paced ED setting.

Responsibilities include accurate nursing assessments, charting, discharge planning, and proactive communication regarding patient conditions. Current PA RN license, BLS, ACLS as applicable, and ER experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• Current RN Pennsylvania state license required.
• Current BLS required or obtained by orientation.
• ACLS required or obtained by orientation if applicable to Area of Practice.
• Previous ER experience required.

• Documents pain assessment and plan of care.
• Documents fall risk and plan of care
• Documents wound risk and plan of care.
• Interprets & utilizes clinical data in the plan of care.
• Assesses patient for potential risk factors.
• Performs accurate and thorough nursing physical assessment.
• Participates in discharge planning, using a multi-disciplinary approach.

Education

Bachelor's degree in nursing

Position Purpose

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the delivery of patient care. The professional nurse assumes the responsibility and accountability for the delegation of patient care to other members of the healthcare team.

As a Registered Nurse, you will:

• Provides total, comprehensive care to patients by applying the nursing process in an organized and systemic manner according to hospital policy.
