Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Oregon seeks a Registered Nurse to diagnose and treat patient health problems, assess and plan nursing care, and coordinate with health care teams. You will document in the EMR and execute the physician’s plan of care.

Minimum nine months RN experience or ED exposure/Internship completion, plus Oregon RN license, BLS, ACLS, and ENPC or PALS within six months of hire. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN license in Oregon.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at hire.
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course or Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Assessment: performs multi-system assessments and discharge planning needs.
• Planning: develops individualized plan of care and coordinates with other departments.
• Implementation: initiates measures per protocol and documents in EMR.
• Evaluation: evaluates care plans and participates in quality assurance.
