Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Registered Nurse - Emergency at Genesys Hospital's Grand Blanc campus. The role requires delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care in a fast-paced emergency unit with trauma considerations.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, provide education, administer medications, manage IV therapy, and support safe discharges. Michigan RN license and BLS are required; ER experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required or instructor equivalent.
• Graduate of an approved RN nursing program and ER experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multidisciplinary plan of care for appropriate LOS and outcomes.
• Provide patient education and support to reduce fear and anxiety.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy, wounds, and glucose checks.
• Monitor patient responses and respond to acute changes in condition.
• Collaborate with case managers for discharge planning and follow-up.
