Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Michigan's Genesys Emergency Unit is seeking a Registered Nurse - Emergency for a 47-bed unit with two trauma bays, excelling in stroke and cardiac care. Minimum 1 year RN inpatient experience or a New Grad with Paramedic/EMT/ED Tech experience.

GENERAL SUMMARY: Uses professional nursing judgment to provide a full range of nursing services to patients. Demonstrates clinical competence, compassion, and patient-centered care within the Seven Dimensions of Patient Care.

Qualifications

• Requires Michigan RN license within 2 months (60 days) of hire date or transfer date.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association within 3 months (90 days) of hire date or transfer date. Or Certified Instructor.
• Education: graduate of an approved professional RN nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Provide full range of delegated, interdependent, and independent nursing services.
• Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Demonstrate clinical competence with compassion and cost-conscious care in the ED.

Registered Nurse - Emergency

Emergency Unit at Genesys is a Trauma Level 111. This is a 47 bed unit with an additional 10 bed overflow. 2 dedicated trauma bays. This unit excels in stroke & cardiac care.

Candidate Preferences: Minimum of 1 year RN inpatient experience or New Grad with Paramedic/EMT/ED Tech experience.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Uses independent professional judgment, analytical skills, and the nursing process to provide a full range of delegated, interdependent, and independent nursing services to patients. Within the framework of the Seven Dimensions of Patient Care and Benner's Domains of Nursing Practice, demonstrates clinical competence; compassion and customer service orientation; focus on process and outcomes, and cost-consciousness when assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care provided to patients.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Or Certified Instructor.
• Education: Requires a graduate of an approved professional (RN) nursing program.
