Job summary

HCA HealthONE is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse in Colorado to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with physicians and staff, using established nursing models to assess, perform, teach, and manage care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing; BSN desired.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Colorado or current multistate license.
• Current BCLS, ACLS, PALS certifications (or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date)
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course within 4 months of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Inst within 90 days of employment start date
• Trauma Nursing Core Course within 4 months of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management and reassessments after interventions.
• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider and documents care in the chart.
• Responds promptly to patient requests and anticipates needs to provide exceptional care.
• Teaches patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, status, treatment plan, medications, and potential side effects.
• Instructs on non-medicinal follow-up measures including diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes.

Education
