Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced ER. You will collaborate with physicians and the care team, document care thoroughly, and respond promptly to patient needs.

The role emphasizes teaching patients and families about conditions, treatments, medications, and follow-up steps, while supporting healthy lifestyle changes and self-management after discharge.

Qualifications

• RN with current licensure in GA or eligible
• BLS certification; ACLS/PALS or equivalent within 30 days
• Hospital ER experience preferred; excellence in patient-centered care

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered ER care
• Document care in medical record promptly and accurately
• Respond to patient requests promptly; anticipate needs
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and follow-up
• Support post-discharge self-management and healthy lifestyle choices
