Job summary

Corpus Christi Medical Center in Corpus Christi, TX is seeking an experienced RN for the ER DRMC to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and the care team. The RN will use established nursing models to support outcomes and a superior patient experience.

The role requires timely documentation, proactive responsiveness to patient needs, and education for patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Cour, or PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Bachelors Degree, or Associate Degree

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team.
• Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models.
• Advocates for patients/families/caregivers and models a commitment to the organization’s values.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications and possible side effects, and follow-up measures.
• Teaches about non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as diet, exercise, prevention, and lifestyle changes.
