Job summary

St. Mary’s Health Care System in Athens, GA seeks a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The ED is a 25-bed unit caring for infants to geriatrics with Cardiology and Stroke care focus; you will assess patients, develop and modify care plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

This full-time role includes day shifts with a weekend option (Sat/Sun 7a–7p) and a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one (medical, dental, vision, PTO, 403b, education assistance).

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Georgia.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program approved by the Board of Nursing or substantially equivalent.
• Refresher course within past 6 months if no practice in past 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop, evaluate, and modify care plans under limited supervision.
• Interpret and perform complex patient-care procedures within nursing scope.
• Collaborate with Care Team and Support Team to achieve outcomes.
• Provide care using nursing process, environment/technology, and teamwork.
