Job summary

St Mary’s Health Care System in Lavonia, GA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. This full-time night position involves a 12-hour shift in a fast-paced, acute care setting providing evidence-based, patient-centered care to a diverse patient population.

The RN will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, assess and plan care, and support pathways of care in Cardiology and Stroke care.

Qualifications

• Current Georgia RN license is required.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing education program approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing.
• Successful completion of a refresher course within the past 6 months if nursing practice has not occurred within the past 5 years.
• Prior experience preferred; new graduates considered.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop, evaluate, and modify the care plan.
• Interpret and perform complex patient-care procedures within RN scope of practice.
• Collaborate with Care Team and Support Team to achieve patient outcomes.
• Provide care using nursing process, environment, and other healthcare team members.
• Deliver patient-centered care in a 12-hour night-shift emergency department setting.
