Job summary

St Mary’s Health Care System in Athens, GA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This full-time role includes day shift with weekend option days (Sat & Sun 7a-7p) to deliver high-quality, evidence-based patient care in a fast-paced environment.

You will assess patients, develop care plans, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and provide compassionate nursing care across all ages from infants to geriatrics. Georgia RN license required; prior ED experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Georgia RN license.
• Graduation from accredited nursing program approved by the Georgia Board.
• Refresher course within the past 6 months if nursing practice has not occurred within the past 5 years.
• Prior experience in ED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop/modify care plans.
• Interdisciplinary collaboration to achieve patient outcomes.
• Provide care using nursing process and established standards.
• Coordinate with care team for patient visit workflow.
• Deliver evidence-based nursing care in ED across all ages.
