Job summary

Emerus is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a full-time mids-night swing position in Greensburg, PA. The role focuses on assessing and coordinating patient care in a fast-paced ER, with emphasis on accurate documentation and safety.

Qualified candidates hold an Associate’s degree or higher, active RN licensure in PA, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. A BSN is preferred; Act 33/73 clearances are required before start date.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current state RN licensure without sanctions.
• 2+ years ER or comparable experience.
• Current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications; TNCC preferred.
• English fluency in spoken and written form.
• Pennsylvania Act 33 and Act 73 clearances within last 5 years or before start.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, direct, and evaluate patient care in the ER.
• Document medical records accurately and legibly.
• Observe and record signs, symptoms, and patient status.
• Follow physician orders in the delivery of nursing care.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform tests per policies and regulations.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality of information.
• Adhere to infection control and aseptic techniques.
• Manage admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Prepare equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Participate in quality assessment activities.
