Overview

Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Locum Tenens in Tracy, California. Advance your nursing career as a Travel ER RN in a busy community hospital in Tracy (ZIP 95376).

Assignment details: Location – Tracy, CA 95376; Unit – Emergency Room (ER); Assignment type – Locum tenens travel nursing contract; Start date – October 13, 2025; End date – January 12, 2026; Duration – 13 weeks; Shift – 12-hour days (07:00 – 19:30), 3 shifts per week; Hours per week – 36; Weekend coverage – Every other weekend and occasional back-to-back weekends; Orientation – 16 hours; Estimated weekly salary – $2030–$2170.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room.
• Perform triage, assessment, and treatment for diverse emergency conditions.
• Administer medications, IVs, and blood products.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (physical therapy, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, social services).
• Utilize Epic charting system for accurate documentation.
• Respond to trauma, cardiac, and other critical emergencies.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Participate in orientation and complete required e-learning modules.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license (required for California nursing jobs).
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or American Red Cross).
• Experience with Epic charting system (preferred).
• Community hospital experience (required).
• Patient ratio experience: 4:1.
• Ability to care for all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics.
• Available for lab work within 3–5 days of signing.
• 2 professional references from the past year (required).
• Ability to float as needed.
• Must be able to work at least every other weekend.
