Job summary

Aurora Health (now part of Advocate Health) WI Resource Team is seeking a Float RN to deliver adaptable nursing care across multiple ED settings within Wisconsin. The role requires a valid RN license, a strong ED background, and current BLS/ACLS/TNCC/PALS certifications.

Flexibility to float to different units is essential. Candidates should be prepared to function in a multi-hospital environment, participate in quality initiatives, and maintain clinical documentation with attention to safety

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS certifications.
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience.
• Ability to float to other units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care, engaging patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources and collaborates with the care team.
• Upholds a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• May administer medications and therapies per protocols.
• Communicates effectively, provides feedback, and resolves conflicts to support team dynamics.
• Pursues ongoing professional development and maintains required certifications.
• Respects ethics and interdisciplinary roles in patient care.
