Job summary

St. David's North Austin Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on a PRN basis. The RN will coordinate and deliver high quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and the care team.

The role requires an active RN license and relevant certifications (BLS, ACLS, TNCC) with time-bound completion. Expect duties including pain assessment, documentation, patient education, and responsive care to patient needs.

Qualifications

• RN license required or pending per state requirements.
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Cour must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
• BCLS/ACLS/TNCC certifications must be obtained within stated timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in ED.
• Assess pain regularly and promote effective pain management.
• Document care in electronic medical record promptly and accurately.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and anticipate care requirements.
• Educate patients/families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up.

Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree

Basic Life Support (BLS)
