Job summary

The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia is hiring a Registered Nurse for Emergency Services on the UVA Health system. This full-time night shift position supports patient assessment, planning, and execution of care in a fast-paced environment, working with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Applicants must hold an active RN license in the state, BSN preferred, with at least one year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Current RN licensure in applicable state required.
• BSN preferred; CPI certification within 3 months for specified units.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing care for patients in Emergency Services under supervision.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and team to ensure timely interventions.
• Document care and maintain compliance with policies and procedures.
